The Llano Estacado Theatre Lab is a space for artists to collaborate on devising original content. Through our devising workshops and personal coaching sessions, we assist our performers in accessing a neutral headspace by beginning in silence and focusing on our breath. With a quiet mind, we then add eye-contact, with gestures arriving in their own time. Words become incorporated in the work as they become necessary. This process puts the artist in a position to more readily access the depths of their imaginations to create characters and plot-lines organically and with very little effort. Our ideas become moments, and we turn those moments into the work we produce.
